Blockchain Confirmations

Configure the minimum number of on-chain confirmations required before a payment is considered valid. More confirmations mean more security but longer wait times.
Default Confirmation Count
The Default value applies to all cryptocurrencies unless overridden individually. The default is 3 confirmations. Valid range: 1–100.
Per-Currency Overrides
You can set a custom confirmation count for each cryptocurrency. If left empty, the default value is used.

Tip: For small amounts (< $50), 1-3 confirmations is generally sufficient. For larger amounts, increase confirmations for added security.
High-Value Confirmation Increase
Location: Settings → Payments → High-Value Confirmation Increase
For high-value transactions, you can automatically increase the required confirmation count.
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Threshold (FIAT value) | When a transaction exceeds this amount (in your default currency), additional confirmations are required. |
| Increase percentage | Multiply the normal confirmation count by this factor. Options: 200% to 700%. |
Example: If your default is 3 confirmations, threshold is $500, and increase is 300%:
- A $100 payment requires 3 confirmations (normal)
- A $600 payment requires 9 confirmations (3 × 300%)
